The MERA Record screen on a phone. Recording is on, audio is in the samples, the heartbeat is okay, and the file is saving on the phone.

Recording

Tap Start and MERA keeps recording after you leave the app. You stop it in the app, or from its notification when that notification is available. A restart, an update, a force-stop, or the phone stopping the app to save power can interrupt it. MERA does not start the microphone on its own.

Transcription

Speech to text is English, on the phone, and off until you download a model. The models miss words. They also write words that were not said. Recording does not need a model.

Your files

The library plays a recording, keeps a note, and marks a favorite. Export hands a file to an app you pick. Delete removes that recording from the phone when the delete finishes.
